Our Specific Services

The Cortina Community Services District (CCSD) was initially formed in 2006 to provide services to four newly created residential developments in the community of Arbuckle; Colusa County.  In determining the public services to be provided by the CCSD, an engineering report was prepared.  On formation, the CCSD was governed by the Colusa County Board of Supervisors.  .

Once the needed public services were identified, a services financing plan was prepared, which identified the level of taxes or assessments required to fund the services. .

In the initial formation of the CCSD, it was always envisioned that the District would be governed by an elected Board of Directors, independent of the County Board of Supervisors.  A group of local citizens were successful in that endeavour and on May 2, 2017, an independ Board of Directors was elected.  These new directors took responsibility for the CCSD on the Friday in December 2017.  The resolution that established the election is included below: .
